I am running for Spring-Ford School board, not only as a parent but as a taxpayer. As a representative of Region 3, Royersford, my goal will be to ensure that all children in our district are provided the quality education they deserve, in an inclusive and safe environment, while also making smart, conservative financial decisions.
I am the ultimate multi-tasking mom with a busy professional life, while contributing to the community through volunteer positions, in addition to being a proud parent of a 2nd grade Spring-Ford Ram! My daughter attends Limerick Elementary School. As a family, we are fortunate that we get to collaborate with a very dedicated and qualified staff of educators, administrators and special education providers each day.
Last year, I was appointed Chair of the Spring-Ford Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) by a bi-partisan committee of peers! This group works to provide resources to parents of some of the district's most diverse and hardworking students. We also have the opportunity to build and strengthen relationships between parents and administration to ensure that our district's special needs students are seen and heard.
Professionally, I have the privilege of working as the Administrative Assistant for the Mayor of Phoenixville, and the Director of Communications of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs. M.A.P.S is a training program for clinicians that work with children who have neurodevelopmental disabilities, autoimmune disorders and other chronic medical conditions.
Between these two jobs, as well as parent mentoring for several nonprofit organizations, I will bring to the Spring-Ford School District Board a broad and diverse perspective on many issues including academics, learning loss and curriculum. My areas of expertise, supporting children, families and communities, will allow me to represent all members of our community to build a “Brighter Future” for Spring-Ford!
Some historical facts about me:
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA - Here we go Steelers! While studying telecommunications at Penn State University, I met my husband, Ian, to whom I have been married for 12 years. We were city dwellers in Philadelphia until we decided to move to a more suburban setting and start a family. In 2017 we ended up calling Royersford our home!
We love Royersford. We have amazing neighbors, a great sense of community and obviously a great school district.

Michael Lebiedzinski
Learning the value of hard work at a young age, Michael delivered newspapers for the Daily Intelligencer (Doylestown), waking up at 5:00am to make sure his customers received their daily news, saving his newspaper and lawn-cutting money to buy his first computer at age 12 - a Commodore VIC-20.
He was raised in Bucks County by parents of Irish, Italian, Polish, and Russian heritage, with his Nana wisely reminding him to “keep your nose to the grindstone.”
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, where he also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the independent student newspaper The Triangle.
Michael is a career Information Technology executive with deep experience in the pharmaceutical, financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. Michael also served our great nation as a US Navy Airman aboard the aircraft carrier CV-66 USS America.
Michael and his wife, Rachel, have called Limerick Township their home since 2007, creating a treasure of fond memories of both of their children attending Spring-Ford schools from Brooke Elementary through the Senior High School.
Not surprisingly for an engineer, his superpowers are problem solving and improving systems. He is passionate about researching facts and data to support or refute a theory.
Michael will serve the Spring-Ford Area School District through:
Passion for student achievement: Every one of our Spring-Ford students are unique, with special talents, interests, and needs. I believe the primary role of a public school board director is to ensure that all students are provided opportunity and academic support to thrive, and strong encouragement to attain their dreams.
Attracting and retaining talented educators: By far, our teachers have the deepest impact on our students’ development. To maximize our students’ fullest potential, we must support the district’s educators and staff.
Concern for every single tax dollar: Nine members of our community have been legally vested with decision making power affecting the personal financial situation of 56,000 family members in the district. The gravity of that responsibility cannot be understated. I will work tirelessly to ensure our district demonstrates deep concern for every single tax dollar we ask of the community.
Ultimately, as a representative board member elected by the voters, Michael strongly believes that you - the parents and taxpayers of Spring-Ford Area School District Region 2 - are his boss. He represents your interests, and he is accountable to you.
